Cookie Policy
Effective date: July 28, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how holendeutsch.com uses cookies and similar technologies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags, and analytics identifiers.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies and local storage to:
- Make the website work
- Remember and document your cookie choice
- Measure website visits, important calls to action, and successful waitlist signups when analytics is allowed
- Improve the clarity and performance of the website
3. Types of cookies
Essential cookies
These are needed to provide the website or remember the privacy choice you requested. Holen stores your explicit choice in local storage under holen-cookie-consent for up to 180 days. If local storage is unavailable, a first-party essential cookie with the same name keeps that choice. In opt-out regions, holen-cookie-notice remembers in local storage that you dismissed the notice. These values do not contain your email address.
Analytics cookies
When analytics is allowed, Google Analytics may set _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie to distinguish visits. Google Analytics cookies can remain for up to two years unless you withdraw your choice or remove them sooner.
Marketing cookies
Holen Deutsch does not currently enable advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalization, Google Signals, or marketing cookies through this website setup.
4. Regional choices
In the EU, EEA, United Kingdom, and other strict consent regions, analytics stays off until you choose “Allow analytics.” If the visitor's jurisdiction cannot be classified, the website also fails closed and asks first.
In the United States and selected opt-out jurisdictions, analytics may start after the regional policy is resolved. A notice provides an immediate opt-out. A recognized Global Privacy Control signal always keeps analytics off.
5. Managing cookies
Select “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time to allow or withdraw analytics. Withdrawing analytics updates Google Consent Mode and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site. You can also remove cookies through your browser settings.
Refusing analytics does not prevent you from using the website or joining the waitlist.
6. Analytics provider
We use Google Analytics 4, provided in the EEA by Google Ireland Limited, to measure the website only when the applicable regional policy and your choice allow it. Events do not include the email address entered in the waitlist form. Google may process technical information such as the page path, referrer, browser and device information, interaction events, and approximate geography.
